Welcome to Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra’s 2009 - 2010 season

This season we have combined a good mix of popular classics and more unusual works. We’re very fortunate to have secured some wonderful soloists too: Kerem Hasan is a highly talented local pianist who performed with us to great acclaim a couple of years ago; Guy Johnston is an international soloist who came to prominence when he won BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2000; Ofer Falk is the leader of the Allegri String Quartet and a soloist; Lee Bisset performed opera arias with us two years ago and is forging an international career since leaving ENO Young Artists Programme.  She will be singing Wagners’  Wesendonck Lieder in our Summer Concert.

This season we’ll be based in Wimbledon for all our concerts, giving two at St Matthews Church and two at St Paul’s Church.

Our next concert is on Saturday 26 June at 7.30pm, at St Matthew’s Church, Durham Road, Raynes Park,  London SW20.    Click here for more details.

If you want to find out about playing in the WSO, we'd like to hear from you and for regular members you can look up information on rehearsals and meetings.
